Working. NHS nurse on call for the north side of a large city. It's bizarre though as we are being redeployed as of Monday and we've been instructed to cancel all of our routine visits to just deal with emergency call outs (people with COPD mainly), it's been deathly quiet this week. Not sure if it's the calm before the storm 😬

WickedlyPetite · 27/03/2020 08:38

I'm going to walk the dog, have some breakfast, clear out a set of kitchen drawers (I've been doing one kitchen cupboard per day), read for a bit in the garden as it looks like another glorious day.

Put a wash on, do a bit of ironing.

We'd normally get a takeaway on Friday and eat out either Saturday or Sunday, so DH and I were debating getting a takeaway delivered tonight just so it actually feels like Friday.

FenellaVelour · 27/03/2020 08:39

Working from home. Later, online “pub” quiz, takeaway, bottle of wine.

At home with 4 year old and 11 month old. Waiting for Joe Wicks PE at the moment. Then DD wants to write an email to her teacher who’s still at school looking after key workers children. Probably some drawing and play doh. DD will ride her bike round the garden for a bit. Baking this afternoon. Bottle of wine once they’re in bed, it’s been a long week.

TravellingSpoon · 27/03/2020 08:43

Wat hing classic Dr who with DD, doing our online BSL lesson and DD wants to gi online to the Chester Zoo virtual tour day.

Trying to keep severely autistic DS2 occupied and convince him to.xome into the garden. I worry about his vitamin D levels as he is refusing to come outside. We are all in isolation at the moment so he thinks we need to stay at home, and doesnt understand that home = garden too. I cannot wait u til our 14 days are up ( I had symptoms which started tuesday so have to wait 14 days from then) to get him out for a walk if nothing else. He is up at 5am so we could even go out then, just round the block.

TravellingSpoon · 27/03/2020 08:44

Sorry for my terrible typing, I am feeling a bit disoriented.

Wired4sound · 27/03/2020 08:47

We’re running out of essentials and I really need to do a food shop but I’m dreading it.

Other than that garden time, playing and wine tonight.

lucysmam · 27/03/2020 08:48

I've got a wash in the machine, and another two lined up. It looks like it'll be lovely again today.

I have to go to work for an hour (school - it's my turn to do lunchtime so that the teacher who is in today gets a break).

Other than that, a couple of hours school work with the girls - they're mainly managing without me but I have been sitting with them while they work.

I want to deep clean the kitchen too, or at least start on it. It never looks clean and tidy (it is clean, promise!) so I'm going to take the opportunity to give it a thorough going over.

Dd1 has been working through a long list of musicals she wants to listen to so will probably listen to another one.

Later on, I'm going to have a look at google maps, see how easy it is to get to the river from here and maybe go for a walk down there later this afternoon.

Chicken wraps for tea...grandad dropped some shopping on my doorstep yesterday in case we're struggling...4 pack of beans, fajita wrap kit, and mayo Grin We're fine for another week or so & the randomness made me giggle but the thought was appreciated :)

TeddyIsaHe · 27/03/2020 08:49

Making a sourdough starter because I can’t find any yeast (or bread!). Dd and I are going to paint a rainbow for the window, and then hang out in the garden because it’s a lovely day.

stophuggingme · 27/03/2020 08:49

Currently trying to herd a two, four and six year old downstairs
By the time we get there it will be about 3pm so that’s most of the day taken care of Grin

SharpieInThe · 27/03/2020 08:51

Preparing loads of food for the weekend. I'm going to roast a chicken, bake some pies, maybe some sausage rolls. Fill the fridge and spend the weekend in my jammies eating.

We've followed a good routine all week, but I'm emotionally wrung out, on the verge of tears constantly, I just want my Mam.

Taddda · 27/03/2020 08:51

I love the Virtual tour of the Zoo! That's going on my planner...Smile.

(Also, thanks for the reminder about Vitamin D, need some Abidec!)

lucysmam · 27/03/2020 08:52

@TeddyIsaHe how do you do that? We're ok for bread for the mo but would be handy to know :)

Frownette · 27/03/2020 09:00

@Wired4sound snap, I hate going to the supermarket now. I'm getting completely thrown by not being able to go as much and ate 3 days out of date prawn linguine yesterday Blush without realising til afterwards.

Luckily there has been no repercussions so I think I escaped

OurChristmasMiracle · 27/03/2020 09:02

I’m on annual leave so I’m going to deep clean my front room/bedroom. Go through my wardrobe. Put away winter clothes. Bring out spring/summer clothes. Paint the shelves. Sort out paper work and continue my open learn course.

Bringringbring12 · 27/03/2020 09:08

12k run
Breakfast for children
They dress I tidy
They outside whilst I sort out home school stuff for the morning
They start on work (7 and 9 so I can leave them independently for a bit) whilst I do 20 mins yoga and then shower.
They watch tv for 30 mins whilst I have coffee
Another hour school work
They read whilst I do housework
Lunch
Tv for 30 mins
Hour school work
Long walk in local forest
Back home for hour school work
Then Tv and chill whilst I do dinner
Dinner
Reading
Showers
Bed for 7.30

Very structured here. Won’t suit some but works very well for me as a single parent who’s very routine structured. We are happy and relaxed, enjoying the time together actually

Taddda · 27/03/2020 09:09

@Frownette I did the same with a Charlie Bingham curry....Confused....Rennie at the ready.....luckily no repercussions also.

I managed to get a 'click and collect' for tomorrow, running low here too (and no children allowed in supermarkets next week apparently). Looking for more local fruit/veg/grocery places that can deliver for next week.

Also getting out the recipe book! Easy Bread recipe needed, I'm thinking Buns? Or maybe flatbread?

The last loaf I tried to bake turned out as a brick.....!

Bringringbring12 · 27/03/2020 09:10

Oh then post 7.30 for me....
Quick vacuum and kitchen clean, then plonk myself in front of TV for a lovely hour watching Netflix!

Wired4sound · 27/03/2020 09:11

@Frownette I’m so glad you escaped the prawn linguine! Sounds yummy though.

I think it’s a mixture of stressing about what’s going to be on the shelf and it being a horrible reminder of how life is different at the moment in time.

fitflopqueen · 27/03/2020 09:16

Stop surfing and get up! Bake prepped sourdough.
Doing mum’s shopping- did ours yesterday, very calm, bouncers on the door, well stocked.
Have optician appointment- trying multifocal contact lens, not going well.
Son taking down treehouse so may assist, husband continues with his field drain puzzle once he finishes his calls, he has been wfh since 5:30am.
Walk dog
Open some wine later

AuntieMarys · 27/03/2020 09:19

A quiet one today as yesterday was shopping, and delivering to self isolating people.
Exercises when I get up, breakfast, put Olaplex treatment on hair.
Sorting out photos.
Walk about 3pm.

1happyhippie · 27/03/2020 09:20

I’m off to work in a min (carehome), covering shifts as we are short.
Then I’m off for two days so looking forward to staying in! 😂
I haven’t had to stay in yet so feel I’m missing out.
Will call at shop on way home so I don’t need anything over weekend.

thelistener · 27/03/2020 09:23

Working in an office all alone. Car rental is essential service and although other staff are set up from home I am not. Being put on furlough as off tomorrow at 1. Such strange times.

namechangenumber2 · 27/03/2020 09:26

I've just set DS up with his learning for the day and put a wash on.

We'll go for a walk tonight, try and avoid the daytime as our area is popular with dog walking so quite busy Sad

WickedlyPetite · 27/03/2020 10:24

@Frownette I ate a 2 day out of date prawn cocktail sandwich mix on Wednesday. I actually realised towards the end of my sandwich, but then figured I have nowhere I need to be, and we have a bidet, so I finished it off anyway.

Today is the first day where cabin fever is starting to kick in for me. Up to now it's been a bit of a break from work, but now realising that I have another 2 weeks of this, and probably more, there seems to be a lot of empty days stretching ahead.
