What’s in the sky ?

Just seen a weird thing in the sky! It’s like a triangle shaped thing with blue/white lights flashing. It’s not moving. I’ve only got an iPhone crappy camera so can’t take a picture. Too high for helicopter and no noise either. Have we got Aliens visiting now? I would totally believe anything at the moment! Btw my mum thinks that this Coronavirus is an elaborate prank by the governments and on April 1st the headlines in the DM will be April Fools!!!!!

It’ll be a drone to check compliance with lockdown

playthestation · 26/03/2020 23:53

Where is this sky?

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 26/03/2020 23:54

Drone was my first thought too.

AlexaCrowe · 26/03/2020 23:55

@playthestation above you Wink

LonginesPrime · 26/03/2020 23:56

I did tell the (teen) DCs the other day that the government is trying to keep us all inside to cover up the alien invasion...perhaps I wasn't too far off the mark.

LonginesPrime · 26/03/2020 23:57

Where is this sky?

Crikey, it's only been four days!!

CoffeeBeansGalore · 26/03/2020 23:59

How high? The space station is visible at certain times over the next week.

theoriginalmadambee · 26/03/2020 23:59

A you sure you are looking up? Is it in the bottom of your bottle Grin.
(Drone most likely)

soupforbrains · 27/03/2020 00:01

Grin it’s a Valid question though, we don’t all gaze upon the same sky (Lower altitudes anyway) if we knew where op was (roughly) others in the area would be able to see if they are the ‘thing’ also...

I had the same discussion. I just got a look.

So strange that this is a thing now.

ladybird69 · 27/03/2020 00:07

Yes it’s in the sky not neighbours garden I’m in Gloucester. I’ll go out and try and get a photo !

OP posts:
soupforbrains · 27/03/2020 00:09

No flashy triangles or otherwise in my sky, but I’m not near Gloucestershire.

It’s probably either drone or someone playing with laser lighting. We’re all bored.

HelloBolloxMyOldFriend · 27/03/2020 00:11

I'd also like to see it. I was trying to see if I can find an example online to ask you but no such luck. Plenty of the footage from drones though with people having hikes and picnics.

Aardvarkitsabloodyaardvark · 27/03/2020 00:13

Im in Gloucestershire can't see anything from where I am though. I'm guessing drone too.

AnotherMurkyDay · 27/03/2020 00:18

Sounds like a drone. Might be bored kids though not the government snooping

ladybird69 · 27/03/2020 00:28

Couldn’t get a photo! It’s in amongst the stars but a lot bigger and 3 points and flashing lights, my phone says it’s nne in the sky but I’m no Boy Scout. I’ve seen the space station go over and it does look a bit like that but it’s just still, no movement

OP posts:
ladybird69 · 27/03/2020 00:37

Just googled space station. It could be that, how come we can see it tonight? Has it moved or been launched recently?

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 27/03/2020 00:41

It's moving all the time, as is the earth.

spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/

You wouldn't see lights flashing on it though,

soupforbrains · 27/03/2020 00:43

The Station usually just appears as a single v bright light. No flashes or owt.

ladybird69 · 27/03/2020 02:11

I’ve laid on the ground in the garden in the summer and watched it cross the sky sure it had flashing light then too. We had a tracker app. It’s just staying in the same place that’s what threw me.

OP posts:
ArriettyJones · 27/03/2020 02:18

It’s crossing the sky AND staying still? Confused

EmpressMcSchnozzle · 27/03/2020 04:18

Haven't any of you ever watched The Twilight Zone or Black Mirror?! Probably a drone, though.
