I’ve been saying for a while that I predict a cashless society in the next decade. Certainly more people want to use contactless payment systems now to avoid germ transfer. Many people like myself rarely carry actual cash. I think eventually it will just be numbers moving back and forth between accounts and no cash.
Today I was discussing with DH that unfortunately we may lose many elderly people as Covid-19 takes hold. As si many more people are working remotely and shops are closed we are increasingly going online. Many shops may decide not to open again and just maintain an online presence and the world will become more digital. The high street will die and as older people decline in numbers digital and online will become more normalised as these tend to be more utilised by the younger generation.
This is just what I predict for the future, has anyone else thought similar?
