There are no delivery slots unless you have one confirmed already. There are many threads here about this. Even for those of us having a weekly reserved slot, they aren't being honoured.

There hasn't been any slots for ages now. They kept taking on new customers and then they couldn't cope with all the extra people. Their communication has been terrible and nobody knows whether we will ever get a slot again.

Oh, PIPER ...

This is the thread you want:

Nothing wrong, I can't see any delivery slots either. I've an order coming Friday that I booked 2 weeks ago and nothing else.

I'm doing nothing but going to work and coming home because I'm a nurse and don't want to put my patients at risk so I'm quite frustrated that either DH or I will need to venture out to buy food.

I've had no emails about new slots opening or anything.

We won't starve and we are both able bodied and healthy so I'm luckier than so many but my patients are all in the high risk category so I have been avoiding shops for a little while.

tiredanddangerous · 26/03/2020 13:04

None of the supermarkets have any delivery slots.

Starksforthewin · 26/03/2020 14:04

For me, Ocado has been fine. Yes, I’ve had to queue along with everyone else to get on the web site, but once there I’ve been able to edit my orders ok.
Deliveries have been one or two items short and they’re out of stock of a lot of lines, but given the scale of the problem, I think they’ve been brilliant.
I have an annual Smart Pass and a weekly reserved slot.

I’m anticipating glitches along the way but so far they’ve been fantastic. Life saving in fact. I’m incredibly grateful to the delivery drivers and all the staff behind the scenes.

Remember, it’s the poor behaviour by many of the public, panic buying and stockpiling which has led to the supply chain being under pressure and the retailers are trying to catch up.

coconuttelegraph · 26/03/2020 14:06

How have you managed to miss that no supermarket has any delivery slots Confused

RishiSunakFanClub · 26/03/2020 14:58

It's not just Ocado, none of the supermarkets are showing slots available although I thought it added insult to injury when I got an e-mail telling me my supermarket had debited my account for my Delivery Server Plan.

EasterEggz · 27/03/2020 09:08

I'm despairing at Ocado right now. I booked a slot 3 weeks ago anticipating it would get busy but with no idea how bad. At the time I quickly filled my basket with a few items to make the £40 minimum required to hold the reservation, intending to edit nearer the time. (Can't remember what I put in the basket). I have been unable to login to see the order and have been panicking about the situation with groceries. As I'm "vulnerable", this week I have managed to get onto Sainsbury's and order a proper food shop. Sainsbury's seem to have been far better organised than Ocado. Meanwhile I've been trying to log in to Ocado to preferably cancel, or at the very least edit the order. I want my slot to be released so others who need it can have it and we no longer need the food urgently since Sainsbury's have come good. However I am 170,000 in the queue and there is no way of contacting Ocado. It looks like they are going to just turn up with the £40 worth of shopping tomorrow, which I no longer need nor remember.

I think it's really irresponsible of them to waste groceries in this way and not to prioritise vulnerable people, or even enable those with order reservations to login and cancel.

lurkingattheback · 27/03/2020 09:25

Actually, for everyone who keeps saying there aren't slots, and are being pretty rude about it, Ocado have been sending out emails saying there are slots. They just limited and they are releasing them in stages. I was able to book a slot yesterday for next Saturday.

Very · 27/03/2020 10:09

I got an email last night saying they're about to start giving slots to Smart Pass holders. I think their coders have been working flat out to come up with solutions to unprecedented circumstances. They've now worked out how to have a priority queue, by the sounds of it.

I think they've been pretty decent in the circumstances.

EasterEggz · 27/03/2020 11:01

I disagree- if you read my earlier post they've made a complete shit show if it. Compared to Sainsbury's who have prioritised vulnerable people. A priority queue with 40K people in it is not the definition of efficiency.

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 27/03/2020 12:00

As a smart pass holder I haven’t had any emails apart from the blog things from the CEO. I’ve been trying to get a slot since last week. NOTHING. £10.99 a month for NOTHING. I was thinking if cancelling when they switch to M&S, now I know I will be.

QuillBill · 27/03/2020 12:18

I had a text message this morning to say I had until 9:20 tonight to access the site. Was 12000 in the queue but got on after a couple of hours.......then was booted off. Taken back to,the queue and told the queue is suspended and there is no more space in the queue!

NotGenerationAlpha · 27/03/2020 15:37

@QuillBill that doesn't bode well at all.

sofiathe2nd · 27/03/2020 15:52

I’m a smartpass holder and have been for years but no email communication at all.

Also waited in the queue for 6 hours yesterday to edit this weeks order (not due until Sunday) but once I got to the website wasn’t even able to edit... am pessimisticly assuming this means it Won’t arrive at all... but we’ll see...

Inkpaperstars · 27/03/2020 15:55

I stayed up all night in the queue just to edit order for DM who is vulnerable/isolating.

There are no slots, the whole queue was just for editing. I feel quite unwell to be honest. It's just so worrying how to get food to vulnerable and elderly people.

lonelylouise · 27/03/2020 16:21

I stayed up from 3am until 10am in the hope of getting food for my DCs but nothing, there are no slots and no Morrison's boxes in my area 😰

adaline · 27/03/2020 16:22

There are no delivery slots with any supermarket at the moment.

lonelylouise · 27/03/2020 16:23

They need to work out a way of reserving them for the vulnerable and self isolating

peachypetite · 27/03/2020 16:31

I’ve given up.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 27/03/2020 16:36

@eastereggz I have a delivery due from Ocado on Sunday. They emailed me today top say I can no longer edit my order but if I want to cancel I don't have to queue, I can email them"

You can still cancel your order if you no longer need it. Simply send an email to [email protected] with ‘Cancellation’ as your subject line and we’ll cancel it for you

SurpriseSparDay · 27/03/2020 16:38

adaline, surprisingly I found some on the Tesco site this morning and was able to place an order for next week for an elderly relative.

I don’t think there’s a single independent supplier within a fifty mile radius of me that isn’t currently inundated and refusing new customers.

As far as Ocado is concerned I have the impression they began prioritising vulnerable customers last week and are now gradually working through a list: Anytime SmartPass this week, maybe Midweek SmartPass next? (Though I may be wrong.)
