Cat listless and not eating

Hello

Our cat has not eaten this morning and is lying around listlessly. Should I book an appointment at the vet immediately or do cats sometimes get a bit under the weather (like us) and then bounce back?

Yes they need to see a vet. Sound like they are in pain, and if they don’t eat, even for a relatively short amount of time, they can get very sick.

Ring the vet. They will see you for emergencies. Mine was like this early this week - fever and a cough. He was in for the day on a drip. They thought he had some sort of abcess.

We took her in - she has a high temperature - they gave her an antibiotics injection and special food and some medicine for us to give her and we have to monitor her. She might have to go on a drip if she doesn’t get better.

Glad you got her seen and is on the mend. Oreo is now fine. He's been in the vets a lot as before Christmas he got caught by a car and had his tail off. Our emergency vet cover is miles away as well. He is down to 7 lives!

My girl was just the same a couple of weeks ago. Fever, listless, not eating much.
Never did find out what it was but with some painkillers and antibiotics she was right as rain within a few days.
