Tomorrow I am taking my first trip to Aldi. I'm aware that it's going to be stressful anyway, but now I'm getting more stressed as I believe there's some sort of shopping protocol?! Any tips gratefully received!

Don't unload your basket and leave it at the end of the conveyor belt!! I went for the first time a few months ago and then had to pack my bags whilst being hurried by the cashier!! Stick it all back in the basket/trolley and back on the ledges.

Also I don't think they have loos there

I wasn't too impressed tbh - seemed the same price as sainsbos?

Be quick. Put your shopping back in your trolley. It's no where near as expensive as Sainsbury's @Janewaysbun.

Thanks JanewaysBun. I'm shopping for my elderly neighbour and she's asked me to go to Aldi!

There is not as much choice of brands but most of aldis stuff is good ,
avoid the dreaded row of tat or you may find you come home with a snorkel or a thing for removing small boys out of horses hoofs
( thank you Mike Harding Grin )
That said I bought a slow cooker there about 6 years ago it gets used at least once a week and is still going strong

Use a trolley, don't bother with a basket as its too much hassle at checkout. Be organised on the conveyor belt, put all the tins and non breakables on first because the checkout takes no prisoners and you'll be randomly flinging stuff into the trolley.
Its all good apart from the cheap tea and coffee imo.

Only place last week I got toilet rolls, eggs and chicken. Was so excited!
