London - please help me identify this building!

Good evening

I'm about to start work on my Timberkits London cityscape model, and I've identified all the buildings except one on this part. Annoyingly they don't tell you what all the buildings are in the instructions.

Please could you help me identify the building on the far right?

L-R The Gherkin, The Shard, St Paul's Cathedral, ?

I think it could be 22 Bishopsgate but not sure.

Thank you! Smile

I think its meant to be one of the skyscrapers in canary wharf? No idea of the name though- sorry.

ZsaZsaMc · 25/03/2020 19:37

Cheese grater

WarmSausageTea · 25/03/2020 19:38

I’d say it’s the Gherkin, the Shard, St Paul’s and the NatWest tower.

ZsaZsaMc · 25/03/2020 19:39

I take that back - it’s definitely not!

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 25/03/2020 19:39

The walkie talkie.

Nightmanagerfan · 25/03/2020 19:40

It’s the NatWest building

Nightmanagerfan · 25/03/2020 19:41

Also known as Tower 42. Lovely view from the top

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 25/03/2020 19:41

Thanks for your responses!
I love all the nicknames of the buildings!
I've looked them all up and I agree it's likely the NatWest Tower. The shape in the model is very generic though.

This is the best photo of Tower 42 (NatWest Tower) that I can find with a similar perspective with the OP photo.

I think it’s 22 Bishopsgate

Tower 42 aka NatWest building

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 25/03/2020 19:42

Amazing - thank you! Smile

Tower 42 definitely, it's one of the older ones.

BellaVida · 25/03/2020 19:43

Leadenhall Building maybe?

Lordfrontpaw · 25/03/2020 19:44

NatWest. My old office used to look into it.

Lordfrontpaw · 25/03/2020 19:45

Can you post a pic when it’s done?

Tubelight1 · 25/03/2020 19:52

One Canada Square, Canary Wharf London

undercoverhero74 · 25/03/2020 19:54

I reckon the heron tower

Pinkpeone1 · 25/03/2020 20:08

Its Heron Tower

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 25/03/2020 20:12

Yea I think its the Nat West building as well or Tower 42 as PPs have said

Pinkpeone1 · 26/03/2020 03:13

The Natwest building has the elevated bit in the middle whereas Heron tower has the elevated bit to one side.

Lordfrontpaw · 26/03/2020 15:47

I now have it on good authority that it's the NatWest Tower. It depends what side you are looking at it from maybe as the top is like the Natwest logo if you look at it from above. Heron tower is quite jiggy-jaggy on the top. Bishopsgate (100 and 22) are both flat roofed.

Lordfrontpaw · 26/03/2020 15:50

Now I've got the architects and engineers and techy people all discussing the design. It's going to be a long afternoon... (but fun)

TSSDNCOP · 26/03/2020 16:11

It's Tower 42 isn't it? Previously the Nat West tower.

Lordfrontpaw · 26/03/2020 16:32

My people tell me it is. We have now got onto the topics of the ugliest buildings, best design and best nicknames...
