Freezer arrived upside down

My new table top freezer arrived (last one broke a few days ago and it's the only freezer I had - not panic buying freezers)

The delivery guy left it on the doorstep upside down. Probably because the box has a year in the bottom.

Where do I stand with putting it on?

I always thought they had to be kept upright, so is it buggered?

I think it will be ok. You must leave it upright and in position before you turn it on as the gases need to settle.

I’d prob leave it upright overnight just to be sure.

To clarify the bottom of the box was torn, not year.

ring up the provider,
if it was a fridge, you believe it should be left for 24? hours, then plug it in once the liquid settles. Could be wrong

Turn it the right way up and leave it for however many hours the manual states before switching on. Ring the manufacturer to check whether it will be safe to do so. It might need to be left longer before switching on or it might be a goner. The reason you have to let it settle is so that the oil has time to sink back down and isn't in the pipes at the back.

My understanding is you should always leave freezers for 24 hours after moving them before switching on so everything settles, but echo PPs and check the manual for how long

The manufacturer closed at 5pm, so I shall call tomorrow morning.
I'll put it in place and leave it alone until I've spoken with them jic.
Thanks appreciate advice.
