Activity box for a 3 year old ... any suggestions

My niece is a single mum. Is outdoors in the garden as much as possible but her DS nearly 3 is obviously being a nearly 3 year old!

I want to send them something lime sn activity box to keep him occupied. Any ideas??

Sticker book or just sheets of stickers and some paper.
Puzzle.
Football.
Bubbles.
A threading activity - cotton reels and shoelaces or string and beads.
Palydoh and tools.
Story book.
Colouring pens and book/paper.
Couple of little toys (cars/animals/people)
Something with lots of things to open and explore (I used to fill a rucksack with smaller boxes/purses/bags and then put a little item in each one. So they had to sort through the rucksack to find the small ones and then open them to find what was inside....that always kept them entertained for a bit!)
