MOTs BREAKING NEWS

DVSA have just announced a 6 month hiatus on light vehicle MOTs. So cars, bikes etc.
Individual test centres can choose to remain open to test if they choose. ^
I know many of you have been worried about this.^

My MOT is due to expire in July - would I still be getting a 6-month extension from July or from 30th March - i.e. to september?

Saw this in the news but it wasn't super clear

Mine is due on 30th March and it still says that.

I've checked on the website and mine still says June

I had to get mine done today as it expires on 28th March and sxfension only kicks in from 30th- no idea what the logic on that us and I’m annoyed as I’m classed as vulnerable and that’s given us unnecessary exposure

Mine is due 29 April. The earliest I can get it done is 29 March (just checked my doc)

That’s a Sunday.

So realistically, that means I can’t get it done before 30 March. Does that mean I fall into this or not? It would be most helpful if I didn’t have to get it done on Monday, I’m a key worker and hugely busy and husband doesn’t drive.

I’m isolating myself although not vulnerable.

Terror, its from due date. I just fall into it as mine is due on the 30th march.

Mine was due 31st March but I had it done last Friday. Maybe I shouldn't have rushed but I suppose I do know it is safe, not that I'm going anywhere.
