I could easily pass an hour looking at crap on there, news, quizzes, games, holidays! My brother used it for footie scores. It seemed so state of the art at the time.

I loved teletext and ceefax. I remember my late Dad playing Bamboozle, the daily quiz, and the holidays were so cheap Grin

Bamboozle! Grin

OhClover · 24/03/2020 22:27

Ah Bamboozle! What page was that?

303 for football scores I think!

seven201 · 25/03/2020 08:17

I loved bamboozle. They also did holidays. Oh and cinema times but you'd have to wait for the page to come round again as you could never read it quick enough. Whenever I went to my grandparents my grandad would be sitting in his chair watching the shares pages.

Sparrowlegs248 · 25/03/2020 10:33

Haha yes to the pages going round, no pause option. How times change!

We booked a £99 caravan holiday to france i mean the caravan was like a shed but we had a great time loved a teletext holiday.

Pavlova31 · 25/03/2020 10:44

Used to use both ITV and BBC teletext.
Holiday offers. News. Tv and Radio listings and on ITV up to date episode descriptions of the Soaps episodes

I used to read my horoscope when I was a teenager 😂

It would always be on the sign after my sign when I switched it on, so I’d have to wait for it to go through 11 pages before it came back to my sign.

I hot myself a penpal from there when I was about 13
