I vaguely remember not getting selected for the choir but the song had the line "DH Lawrence and DNA" ... "Newton's laws, two world wars" and also the welsh town llanfairpwllgogeryn...gogogoch.

It was to go and sing with other schools in Birmingham I'm absolutely convinced.

I'm sure I didn't imagine this although it is slightly possible I have misremembered.

I've googled but can't find the song!

Are you sure it was definitely the 80s and not 90s?

It seems like the song "We Done A Project On It", from the children's musical, Brilliant the Dinosaur by Richard Stilgoe. I can't find any lyrics online but I'm sure the chorus went "We done a project on it, lots of drawings, lots of lists".

But it was written in the early 90s I think.
