First thing to go when stressed. What is easy and quick to prep and ingest?

Scrambled egg. Add a little extra salt to stimulate your taste buds.

Tiredeyesalways · 24/03/2020 11:47

Same here! I feel too sick to eat. Soup is always a winner though

Frankiecandle · 24/03/2020 11:48

Toast, cheesy mash,soup,cake.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 24/03/2020 11:54

If I’m totally off food I find it helps to eat something really strong flavoured. Salt and vinegar crisps are usually my go to, nutritious? Not particularly but tend to get me eating again.

lubeybooby · 24/03/2020 12:22

protein shakes... the ones with 20g + protein

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 24/03/2020 12:33

I'm struggling too
It has to be bad for me to lose my appetite

goose1964 · 24/03/2020 12:33

I can usually manage fruit. I had my normal breakfast ,2 slices of toast , this morning but it took over an hour to eat it.

AlCalavicci · 24/03/2020 12:36

Cheese on toast works for me

Dreamersandwishers · 24/03/2020 12:55

Fruit & yoghurt work for me. Assuming you have/ can get them. Poached egg on toast is another, with or without spinach, or black pudding...

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 24/03/2020 14:24

Me too. I fancy some scrambled egg now though.

peonia · 24/03/2020 14:43

I think something plain like cheese and crackers is good, especially as you can start with a very small portion and eat more if you feel like it.

Houmous and pitta is also my favourite but you might not have that in atm.

Eckhart · 24/03/2020 14:48

An aperitif, or something small and sweet like a third of a banana. Eat/drink, then wait. May well spur your appetite. Tiny glass of red wine and about 10 minutes works for me. Don't overdo it though - that way lies tragedy!

BearimyJeremy · 24/03/2020 16:48

Thanks you lot. x I had a two egg scramble with lots of butter and salt and half a banana Grin it's more than I've managed by this time in the day for a while.

Funny thing is I'll cook for my children, they're having pork chops and green beans tonight - maybe some mash - I'll make enough, then just stare at my portion. Total mental block on it.

Annoyingly I seem to have put weight ON regardless wine probably Has the world gone mad? Oh yes it did didn't it!

You have to laugh...

My sons an A and E DR. This is the best diet I've ever been on . Sad

BloomedAgain · 24/03/2020 18:26

If you're struggling a tablespoon of nut butter peanut or almond gives an energy boost.

Tiredofwinter · 24/03/2020 18:29

Apples help me

noodlezoodle · 24/03/2020 18:57

Poached egg on toast or boiled eggs with soldiers. Tons of butter with either. My go-tos when I can't face anything else.

BearimyJeremy · 24/03/2020 19:11

brownpurse FlowersWine we have to keep fuel in our tanks to stay strong. Extra challenging for your partner and you with the additional risk. Hope you and yours are ok today x

@bearimyjeremy Possibly you are getting more calories from wine than usual so aren't losing weight and aren't needing them from food, so, not hungry? Wine's surprisingly calorific (probably why it's so bloody delicious)

BearimyJeremy · 24/03/2020 19:31

I'm certain you're right! Need to make the shift from unhealthy to healthy. Small steps...

My go-to is tiny foods. Cubes of cheese, grapes, raisins, pineapple chunks, melon, pomegranate seeds, crisps. Also, eat while watching tv. You don’t concentrate on your bodily sensations that way.

Hippofrog · 24/03/2020 19:54

Peanut butter on toast Flowers I feel the same and this is keeping me going

Crinkle77 · 24/03/2020 20:18

Mine too and just been snacking on rubbish. Must be anxiety related however I forced myself to have chilli and rice and once I started eating really enjoyed It and had 2 pittas too.

TwilightPeace · 24/03/2020 20:59

Peanut butter on toast or tea and biscuits works for me. Maybe yoghurt and fruit?
