Can anyone help me with Disney plus?

Thinking of treating ourselves to Disney plus to cheer us up, but I'm a bit unsure how we can watch it. We do not have sky. We have a fire stick and there is a Disney life app, is this the same? Thanks.

No, you will have to download the Disney+ app when it goes live at some point tomorrow.

divafever99 · 23/03/2020 18:17

Thank you, so is this app going to be available on the fire stick do you know?

Yes it is

divafever99 · 23/03/2020 18:23

Great thanks.

Ah, so we’ll have to try to download the app onto our TV?

Itsmybirthdaytoday20 · 23/03/2020 18:44

Can’t decide whether to blow £50 on this right now!

WhyDoesItAlways · 23/03/2020 18:54

Think the £50 offer ends sometime today so get in quick if you want it!

ScorpionQueen · 23/03/2020 18:56

Shame the offer doesn't allow to pay monthly or I'd sign up.

Bluewavescrashing · 23/03/2020 18:57

What's the deal with skyQ? I'm sure I read that we get it included? Hopeful!

ScorpionQueen · 23/03/2020 19:05

I think sky q just hosts the app, like Netflix.

LER83 · 23/03/2020 19:09

I've just got the current Disney life as an app on my phone, then cast it to the tv with a chromecast. Will do the same with the new one tmrw. I believe its £5.99 a month if you want to pay monthly.

hiddenmnetter · 23/03/2020 19:11

@ScorpionQueen Shame the offer doesn't allow to pay monthly or I'd sign up.

If you get the pay monthly it's £6/month, or £72/year. If you can scope £50 now it's worth it. I've just cancelled my Disney life and paid for the Disney+

Bluewavescrashing · 23/03/2020 19:20

What's on it?

Florencenotflo · 23/03/2020 19:59

@Bluewavescrashing all Disney films, tv programmes, someone said Star Wars, national geographic, Simpson's.

I use it on our iPad and download things for Dd to watch when we do long distance car journeys.

VivaLeBeaver · 23/03/2020 20:04

The mandalorian.

SelfIsolationMeansMorePeppa · 23/03/2020 20:07

I'm just waiting till tomorrow and paying it monthly. I have Disney life at the moment anyway. Amazed at the amount of people who said they were looking forward to it and when I mentioned Disney life they hadn't heard of it!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 23/03/2020 20:08

There's a 7day free trial launching tomorrow if you're unsure.

Bluewavescrashing · 23/03/2020 20:09

So films like The Lion King, Robin Hood, Sword in the Stone, etc?

SelfIsolationMeansMorePeppa · 23/03/2020 20:11

Yes they are all on disney life so imagine they will be on Disney plus @Bluewavescrashing.
There weren't any films I couldn't think of that weren't there other than the really new ones.

AndWhat · 23/03/2020 20:16

We had Disney life but it forever crashed! Have shelled out for Disney + with high hopes those faults have been sorted out! £50 for the year and it will no doubt be watched daily in our house.
You can add up to 4 devices with your subscription too

Bluewavescrashing · 23/03/2020 20:47

Thank you @SelfIsolationMeansMorePeppa

I hope your username doesn't ring true (gun to head scenario!)

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/03/2020 20:49

I had disney life for a few months last year and it was dreadful. Not the content but the app itself. Extremely user unfriendly

ThursdayLastWeek · 23/03/2020 20:50

There was also a lot of content not available on Disney life IIRC

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 23/03/2020 21:04

On Disney+ there will be almost every Disney film ever made (excluding Song Of The South, it's too racist), 30 years worth of The Simpsons, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.

We'll watch so much more on this than Netflix, I can't wait!!

SelfIsolationMeansMorePeppa · 24/03/2020 11:22

So has anyone signed up yet? Smile
I'm looking forward to watching Frozen 2 & Toy Story 4 and get a break from Peppa!
Disappointed the soundtracks have gone though.
