In the interests of make-do-and-mend

Does anyone fancy helping me mend a bubble machine?
I’ve opened it up. Not all the wires are attached & I can’t totally work out where they go. Also I think the motor may need...something?

I’ll post some photos. I accidentally broke the little lentil shaped dude, so where would I get another of those? Can I do without it?

The motor is pretty funky, but I can still turn the spindle. I’ve cleaned some of the ook off the outside.

That looks hideously complicated!

I don’t think it is really, if I can get the motor hooked up right, the switch still works, and if perhaps I can do without the capacitor I broke.
But it depends if I will need to open the motor cylinder up cos I can’t see how to do that.

Oh, yes the second pic is rubbish, sorry. I might just start attaching things to see if it goes.

Hopeful little bump for the lockdown crowd.
Anyone know what I might forage a capacitor from. Or make one from.
