What non essential item have you bought a few extra of? Just in case you get stuck in and need it!!

Mine - Jaffa Cakes, I have four packs, if you think AIBU I don’t care, I’m not sharing!

@73kittycat73 last time I tried to take books to my charity shop they refused them and said they all go to recycling. I haven’t bought a paper book since :(

My little cat's favourite food. Bought 2 x 40 sachets from the pet shop as it's all she will eat plus it's one of those brands with extra gravy which she needs due to previous kidney problems.

Bacon fries crisps. They are our favourites!

@cricketmum84 I don’t blame you for buying extra. Animals don’t have the food choice we do

A box of creme eggs from amazon...

Thepigeonsarecoming · 23/03/2020 01:59

Extra analysis needed @zigzagbetty how many in the box and are they all for you? Would you share with the needy (me)?

I was stupidly sensible and bought a little extra for a few weeks so I would have enough incase. No non essential items.

I am now in self isolation and realise while I have enough food to last, I have no treats, nothing nice to cheer myself up🙁.

When I get out I desperately want ice cream.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 23/03/2020 02:24

@itwasme1 are you in a Facebook help group, I would glad bring you ice cream if you were in mine

Hay for the rabbits

Itwasntme1 · 23/03/2020 02:30

@Thepigeonsarecoming you are lovely, but I will survive and it might do my waist a bit of good.

I deliberately don’t keep snacks in the house, but usually treat myself to something sweet at work. Missing all those shops😊

Purplequalitystreet · 23/03/2020 02:33

Tunnocks teacakes

Thepigeonsarecoming · 23/03/2020 02:36

@baffledbat that took me several reads before i got it! Initially read it as hey as hello to to rabbits, wondered if this was some group I didn’t know about.

A couple of weeks ago my DM bought me a box of 100 Jaffa cakes. They are hidden for when things get really bad.

MIL sends one of the big boxes of creme eggs each year (started when we were abroad as we couldnt get them, or had to pay about 2euro for one.) Only one eaten so far.

OhNoNoNoNotThatOne · 23/03/2020 06:42

Dog food. I haven't been able to get any for 3 weeks so he's had a diet of chicken, beef or turkey and rice with veg.
I posted on Facebook Saturday I couldn't get any, I then managed to find a box in the 3rd super market I went to. Followed by my mum, mil and dh best friend calling to let me know they'd all found a box each too... So we have 4 boxes of 12 pouches now.
I think I'll still give him meat, rice and veg every other day to last out this thing.
I hope.
