Suggestion for exercises with a sprained ankle

DD (14) has an ankle injury that's not healing. She has an orthopaedics referral, but obviously we are not holding our breath about that happening any time soon. In the meantime she is in pain if she puts any weight on her foot or moves it from side to side.

Prior to schools shutting she was literally doing nothing except for necessary walking round school. We're hoping now she doesn't have to do that and can rest it completely, it might actually heal up.

However, I think it's important that she does some exercise for her physical and mental wellbeing. Can anyone suggest any exercises/exercise videos that might be appropriate that she could do at home? A colleague suggested yoga but there are so many videos available I wouldn't know where to start!

Any help gratefully received!

I have a sprained ankle and find cycling ok - social distancing of course.

Look on Youtube for floor barre exercises, dancers do floor barre to keep their strength and flexibility up.
