Long long period

I an 48. Period normally every month for 5 days this one arrive on time now on day 9. Not heavy just really light all the time. Don't want to bother doctors with coronavirus going on any advice

That’s actually fairly normal in the years running up to menopause.

If you’re not in pain and it’s not getting too heavy, you’re probably fine to wait and see.

My perimenopause lasted from age 45 - 50 and in that time I had all sorts of irregularities, including two week long periods.

There's lots of us going through the same thing. I had a whopping 28 dayer over Christmas.

Sometimes these things happen. I had a ‘period’ a few years ago that lasted 6 weeks. I was probably 33 at the time. I got a gyn referral and had pelvic exam, ultrasound and colposcopy and they said it was nothing. Just one of those weird things. It’s never happened again. GP would probably want to see a pattern over several months anyway before a referral (obviously mine was a bit different because it was so long). So it’s something that can wait and be watched.
