It’s a beautiful day

I’ve just returned from my C25K lumbering. It’s a lovely day with a cold wind. There are buds on the trees and the first blossom. Plenty of daffodils and hyacinths around. The cycle path was pretty quiet apart from the dog-walkers. If you can get some fresh air in the garden, say, I would encourage you to do it. Let’s be grateful for small mercies.

It is a beautiful day. The daffodils in my garden are glorious and the blossom trees on my road are lovely.

I'm off with my daughter and two dogs to the park next to the beach later. It's big and easy to keep our distance from anyone else who may be doing the same! So nice to have the sun out and some fresh air will do us good.

I ran earlier - I listened to the birds singing, including a woodpecker, which I don't usually notice. It was lovely. Blue sky, sunshine, fresh air Smile

It is. I've been out and tidied the garden and mowed what's left of the lawn we got a puppy last summer). It's been great getting outside and working.

JustUrggghhhh · 22/03/2020 13:14

2 loads of washing on the line yesterday, another 2 out today. The fresh smell of washing dried outside has been very uplifting for me! Cant wait to change my bed later today for fresh line dried sheets.

GeraltOfRivia · 22/03/2020 13:22

I just got my sheets out too @JustUrggghhhh and now can't wait for bedtime Grin

Drove along the lanes to Ripon..on a loo roll hunt
Sat and had a picnic in booths car park. Two reduced hot jacket potatoes and df coleslaw and a free coffee and hot water for my peepmi t bag.
Drove to Newburgh priory lake, last year there were 20 swans on it..just 2 today.
Loads of pheasants around the fields, never saw that many last year.
There were the alpacas in the fields. New baby lambs feeding off their mums who looked like they’d had enough already.
No horses in the farm behind us..yet
Some magnolia trees are just starting to get into full flood, but yesterday we saw one that was.
Stunning.
Just love N Yorks

I hadn’t realised that loo rolls roamed wild in N Yorks. Grin

It is gorgeous. Had a 3m dog walk, luckily we live rurally so can walk on farm tracks and met no one.

I’ve cleaned the downstairs of the house and had the windows open for a blow through

Got washing on the line, and then about an hour later my neighbour lit a bonfire, that is blowing right across my garden and into the back of my house! So annoyed. Texted neighbour who apologised profusely and offered to rewash my washing.
If we have a bonfire we wait until the wind is blowing away from the house and across the fields, would never light it if the wind was going towards someone else’s house. ☹️

You are so lucky to be in N Yorks. We have a cottage booked in Glaisdale for May but will have to cancel now. Was going with my sister and BIL but they are unable to come from USA now ☹️

I took youngest DC to school and it was a lovely walk. We normally take the bus as it’s quite a way for him, but have been keeping off public transport for past couple of weeks. Hardly anyone around at all.
Older DC are off school so getting exercise on the trampoline. Washing on the line blowing nicely.
