Two out of three ain't bad...

I was struggling to put on my sports bra this morning, which has a set of 3 hooks and eyes on the fastening. When I (with great effort), managed to get 2 connected, i could finally stop as, I thought, '2 out of 3 ain't bad'. I now have the song stuck in my head.

I wondered what other situations this Meatloaf philosophy of '2 out of 3 aint bad', could be applied to? Any once have others?

I used to think this regularly when we only had three kids.

2 out of 3 have eaten a vegetable today...not bad.

2 out of 3 are asleep....not bad.

2 out of 3 aren't lying on the floor screaming....not bad.

I know where 2 out of 3 are.....not bad.
