If you have a blended family with step DCs who also have blended families etc etc how are you managing social distancing?

My situation is that my DCs will spend 1 week with me and 1 week with ExH and his partner and her DCs. I see my DP once or twice a week. He has DCs that he shares 50:50 with his exW who will be seeing her DP and his DCs. There may be a longer chain at either end but I’m not sure.

I’ll be staying in and I trust ExH to keep the kids in but I have no control further than that. Obviously they are mixing with far fewer people than normal but is it enough?

If you look on the step parenting board there are a couple of threads on this already. In my opinion, kids should not be moving from house to house. It's just increasing the risk. Keep them in one place - it won't be forever.

It's going to be a year at least! 12 weeks is the time to flatten the peak not the time it will be finished. I'm carrying on with usual arrangements unless there are symptoms

FFS I despair. That's exactly why it could be a year, and not 12 weeks!
