Will be doing some baking with ds (6) but dont know where to start.

Flapjacks

Basic flapjacks are super easy, assuming you do/carefully supervise the melting of the butter.

Easy and great chocolate chip cookies- especially if you can get a couple of bars of decent flavoured chocolate and break them up into small bits.

There was mn legendary brownies recipe - maybe mnhq could collate a page of tried and tested ones?

We're going to make bread creatures today. Basic bread dough, then the kids roll pieces into shapes (snails, snakes etc) cook them and eat for lunch.

Today me and ds will be making biscuit men using a basic recipe from the BBC website. Easy, and actually quite nice. He gets to read the recipe and measure the ingredients, he loves it!

Made this soda bread yesterday and it was really easy and turned out well

Can't get any flour to do any sodding baking because everyone has become a new Bake Off contestant overnight 🙄. DS gutted he can't make pancakes for breakfast tomorrow.

Crazy cake

Makes a really nice chocolate cake without eggs or butter and is economical on the oil and sugar as well.
