Abdominal distention

My 17 month old has an abnormal abdominal distention.
Her tummy is very hard.
She hasn't really eaten much today.
I've just tried to give her a bath to try to relax her after she was crying in pain.
On Hold to 111 but long waiting time (over an hour) as to be expected
Is this a medical emergency?
Forgot to mention she's had issues with constipation since circa 10 months old and been hospitalised for it twice for over a week each time. She had a small hard stool and I gave her double movicol and a supoository but nothing else has come out.
Wwyd?

Sounds like it’s due to constipation. If it’s causing pain and distension then yes it needs treating. Did you get through to 111? If not, try the OOH number on your Gp’s answerphone message or ring a pharmacy for advice.
