So, in the grand scheme of things I know it's not important but..

I should have got my hair done a few weeks ago. I'm natural mousey with some grey and have an all over colour to hide the grey and then highlights every now and then which seems to keep it looking generally blonde.

Anyway, I'm overdue to have it done and wondering how to colour at home. Home highlighting kit?? I know it doesn't matter. There's only me, DH and kids here but I feel so down about everything happening and feel even more low when I look in the mirror. I seem to have aged really quickly over the last few years and am constantly shocked by my reflection and just think it might cheer me up.

Any suggest for home highlights that won't actually make the situation worse! And definitely NOT using a cap!
