Let’s ask clothes companies to make masks

I heard hospitals are running out of masks and asking nurses to wear scarves. And I read the owner of Zara said they would start making masks. (Well done Zara!) and in Winnipeg, the Disease Control asked people to make masks at home. How about we all ask clothes companies to start making masks?

Because apparently they're not actually much use in these situations.

They would be of no use The Front line NHS staff desperately need PPE Which includes respirator masks which are totally sealed

because they are pointless

I like the sentiment but they would have to be made in sterile areas which clothing manufacturers won't have .
However they may be able to lone their staff to the places that make the masks .
Perhaps not to actually make the masks as I would think that would need a fair bit of training but the could package them , keep the factory clean , deliver them , help with admin etc
