Dear Beautiful Mums,
I could do with some wisdom and sincere advice. I just received a threating e-mail for Expedia legal division, informing me that they will take me to Court if I don't pay the outstanding balance of £950.75. The story is simple: on 14th January I went online and booked a holiday to Fuerteventura, but cancelled it in less than 2h as I came across a better offer. I called them up and asked me to cancel. They told me ok no worries but no confirmation email. Weeks later on 2nd March, I've got an email to say that I need to pay the balance. Buffered I called asking why my initial request hasn't been considered but didn't get a proper answer. I then emailed asking for one but no one bothered to reply until today then I had the letter telling me they will consider legal action against me. I find this highly disgusting and unethical. Easyjet has cancelled all flights to Spain and Fuerteventura is in lockdown, yet on their website, you can easily check-in on your flight. I'm really scared. I've done nothing wrong. I've taken all the necessary steps to ensure cancellation right from the very beginning but they utterly ignored my request. I also made a formal complaint to ask for an investigation into retrieving my phone calls, but no answer yet. How worried shall I be? Please help me.
