Can Skype be used by more than 2 people on the same call?

I feel like I need to get a lot more tech savvy to make sure DS stays in contact with his friends. I haven't used Skype but is it like Teams where you could have 3+ people on one call and they could all see eachother?

One to one is fine but with 7 year olds they aren't at the stage where they would sit and just chat to eachother whereas if a group of them could be involved then that would probably work better and there would be more chat and giggles, etc.

Or is there another system that is good for several kids to speak/see eachother on calls/online?

I was on an all staff skype meeting with 167 people yesterday. Worked fine
That'll be Skype for Business. Which you can have up to, I think, 250 people video call. 'Just' Skype is 25 (I think) people video call. Not sure what else is different to fr there to be two distinct products.

Can WhatsApp do multiple people on video call? I was just thinking about getting my family to get back into using Skype as we are a mixture of Apple and Andriod so can't use any one 'brand's product like Facetime.

@Squigean I'm not sure about WhatsApp group video chat but zoom would work. I was on a 4 way video call yesterday on my android phone, 2 on iPads and one on a laptop.

After downloading it and clicking the link in the email how do I find her friends??

You have your own private message link and you WhatsApp or text that to people. They click it and join your conversation. We did a family chat yesterday with 11 different family branches. Chaotic but fun!

The limitation with Zoom is that unless you pay for an upgrade (£11.99 a month), meetings are limited to 40 minutes - as far as I can see. Happy to be corrected.

You can just reset the meeting on Zoom. But 40 mins is a good cut off for kids anyway I suppose!
Dino's, organize a "meeting" and then send them a link/invite. There's a recorded tutorial on the website too.
