Will anyone be babysitting their friends children or sending their children to friends while they work?
Would you look after other children in your house?

Bad idea. The whole point is to try to reduce the spread of germs. Swapping kids between households to facilitate work will spread germs and ultimately lead to a higher death rate.

I get that it is difficult but sending children anywhere else for childcare is foolish.

What if they need to work and have no option?

if you have young children and are a single parent and not a key worker then currently going out to work is not an option unless you actively want to increase the death rate. that's real actual people dying. I know its preferable not to need to ask for charity, foodbanks and benefits but if going to work is killing people then it's not a good plan.

they stay at home!!!

why is this so hard to grasp?? spreading kids around......the message just isn't getting through is it?

Child care settings are staying open for key workers children.

changethebed · 20/03/2020 10:18

School is still running for key workers but I don't know if nurseries are for children who haven't needed to go to one until now. I assume they are?!

All school transport has stopped so lots of children unable to get to the schools.
Just wondered if any of you would take in a friends child if they needed your help
