Migraine treatment

I had a migraine about a year ago and I bought an OTC tablet - it was expensive and it was just one single tablet in the box but it worked within about half an hour. I need dh to get me another but I can’t remember what it was called, does this sound familiar to anyone?

Sumatriptan

They may not sell to him though as they have to take a pretty rigorous medical history though

Good luck - hope you feel better soon, migraines are so awful

Was it Sumatripan? They can be bought over the counter (as Migralieve or something similar), I think in packs of two, but I get them on prescription in boxes of six.

The brand name for Sumatriptan is Imigran.

Thank you.
I was able to buy it over the counter and was just asked if I suffer from migraines Confused
I’ll see how he gets on.

I used to get Imigran on prescription and it worked great, but wiped me out afterwards. Imigran is the one you can buy from a chemist. My doctor changed me to Zolmitriptan and it's perfect. Both are excellent treatments for migraine.
