Online games to play while quarantined

I'm over 70 and currently in quarantine. A friend with 2 very active kids is dreading the coming school closing. I want to support her as much as I can.
I remember that Skype used to have games that could be played by two people online -- there was a Connect 4 game where you took turns in making moves and both players could see the board at the same time. And there was a drawing game where both players were drawing on the same virtual piece of paper so you could add things to each other's picture.
I've been googling and it looks like Skype no longer has games. Can anyone suggest anything similar?
I thought I could offer to virtually babysit for a hour or so several times a week by offering to play games online with the kids.

Any ideas of stuff I could do with them using Skype or Zoom or something similar would be appreciated!

Google 'big fish games' Lots on there. Unsure if you can play them with others online but so many to keep you occupied

Settlers of Catan has an online player function, and is really fun for an hour or so! Suitable for around age 8 and above I’d say.

What a kind gesture you’re making ☺️

What a lovely idea. I think my parents and PILs might be up for this if not ill, so will watch for any further ideas.

For them - if anyone knows a contract bridge app or website that allows them to play with their real friends (not randoms) please say!

Bejewelled blitz on facebook

oh sorry I didn't read the OP properly Blush that's more for solo play

The online battleships sounds great. Child 1 is 7 and child 2 is 4 so I probably mostly need younger games. And I'll have a look at Settlers of Catan -- it might be okay for the older one. I'm off to look at big fish! Thanks everyone for the ideas. The more the merrier!

Just discovered readeo.com. Website with library of picture books you can read them remotely with a child and chat while you're doing it your picture and the child's picture appear at the bottom of the screen along with a full-size picture of the book page. Looks good and the subscription seems quite reasonable. Especially now when we can't borrow books from the library, it looks really useful.

Here's the online battleships game: en.battleship-game.org/

If you select your opponent as "friend" it will generate a link you can send your grandkids (I'd start up a skype call with them, then message them the link via the skype chat). Then you can play against each other. It lets you take another turn when you get a hit so you sink boats quite quickly once you get a hit!

Thanks xiaoxiong!
