New eBay advert makes me cringe... Have you seen it?

Just saw a new ebay advert on the TV along the lines of a young couple spend '90 seconds together' and end up getting pregnant so have to sell all their prized possessions to buy baby things, then they get pregnant again and have to sell more... Why are adverts so weird and insensitive nowadays

I find it insensitive and unnecessary to poke fun at people that may have to sell things in order to afford having children, holidays etc.

I don't think the ad is poking fun at people who sell things to afford children. I think you're getting worked up over nothing.

The 90 seconds is how long the test takes its shown at the start of the advert!
They sell stuff because they are prioritizing the things they will need when they have a child/children.
Whats offensive about that? Priorities chsnge when you have kids.

This jarred with me a bit. Not sure why. Maybe because people who can't have kids , or are struggling to have kids, would be hurt by it.

It made me cringe too, I also thought the 90 secs was a reference to the baby being made I'm not offended by it but did think it was a bit flippant.

There's also a Duracell one at the moment where there's a scramble to change the channel as the family are watching some animals mating on a nature show. Not funny at all just cringe. (And prob what my family would do )
