(very boring thread alert) Why don't heinz tins stack?

I tidied the tin cupboard (this is a rare event)

All the tins stack nicely except the blooming Heinz ones. They just topple .... Now got a lovely tidy cupboard except for the topply heinz ones..

Humph

This annoys me too. I've had to do a pyramid style display in my pantry.

lubeybooby · 17/03/2020 13:41

I don't know but it really annoys me

ParkheadParadise · 17/03/2020 13:41

I've just looked all my Heinz tins are stacked nicely in my cupboard.

RUSU92 · 17/03/2020 13:43

Ooh I’m with you. I buy Branston beans instead but they have always annoyed me due to needing a tin opener. They’ve recently changed to a ring pull. And they stack. And they’re nicer than Heinz beans. Make the change!

(very boring thread alert) Why don't heinz tins stack?

Some of the Sainsbury's tins don't stack either. Shoddy design!

CatEatCatWorld · 17/03/2020 16:11

When I was pregnant this annoyed me so much (hormonal) that I emailed to complain [cringe] and the reply (probably after they'd laughed their arses of) was that it costs more lol

Connie222 · 17/03/2020 16:58

@CatEatCatWorld that is delightfully batshit Grin

CatEatCatWorld · 17/03/2020 17:02

It's because I'm a short arse and the only cupboard we had was above head height, so any time I wanted tins they all felt over risking dropping on my head. Happened one too many times and I got annoyed enough to email haha. The things that annoy you when pregnant!

ParadiseLaundry · 17/03/2020 17:04

Arrrgghh! Yes! It drives me mad! Cheap beans usually do (and they're far superior imo anyway) but DH likes the beans and sausages.

Is there an actual reason? Maybe someone who works for Heinz will be along with an explanation.

Somanysocks · 17/03/2020 17:05

Well I'm shocked that you have enough tins to stack Wink

DustyMaiden · 17/03/2020 17:08

All of my social life has been cancelled, there is a deadly virus lurking everywhere, I’ve been to Sainsbury’s and all the shelves were bare. On the way back I saw the four horseman of the apocalypse- oh well it’s not the end of the world.

Then this, badly stacking tins, it’s too much I just can’t take anymore.

Likethebattle · 17/03/2020 17:40

Baxter’s all stack nicely and I was just moaning about Heinz to DH the other day.

BarbaraofSeville · 17/03/2020 17:53

Baxter's soup and branston beans both much nicer than the Heinz equivalent, that's why we get them.

Our tin shelf is too low for stacking so not a consideration anyway.

ShadyAcromat · 17/03/2020 17:55

You need one of these: amazon.co.uk/Alfie-Stacker-Silicone-Organiser-Resistance/dp/B07DNBXL2G]]

SoupDragon · 17/03/2020 18:24

Well I'm shocked that you have enough tins to stack

You only need two.

Samcro · 17/03/2020 19:07

I want a pantry
