Tablet with 4G for Skyping.

If my elderly DM is going to be in lockdown I am thinking might like something she can Skype the family in. However she is not great with tech and has no internet connection in her house.

Does anyone know of an easy to use tablet or something with 4G connection I could buy her? Or one that can be used with a dongle?

We are an Apple family and have no idea what else is out there. Would a Kindle Fire work? That way she could access books too.

It would probably be a lot easier to get her WiFi to be honest. I'm an Apple lover too so wouldn't know beyond an iPad. Although I know you can get iPad with a SIM card that goes in it which u can top up like you would a phone

Does she have a neighbour that would let her tap into their WiFi? I wouldn't normally do this but in these crazy times I'd give my password to an elderly neighbour.

@Corrag That is a very good idea. Her next door neighbour is a lovely single school teacher who really looks out for her. In return my DM takes in all her parcels. She could maybe ask her.

Good, that'll be easier than faffing about with 4g. I can't imagine many people would say no to that request.
