Bleeding from 6 weeks

Hi, new here

I started bleeding bright red at 6 weeks after getting brown discharge for a few days prior. I went to a&e and was referred to the EPU where they did a scan. The sonographer said she saw a sac but didn’t detail if she saw anything else. She said I wasn’t miscarrying and that I should come back for a scan in 4 days.

The second scan showed the sac and they said it didn’t grow much since the last time I was scanned. I’m just really confused as they said I could miscarry or progress to have a viable pregnancy.

Btw I should be 7weeks and 1 day now and have been bleeding since 6 weeks and cramps pretty much everyday but on and off throughout. Would appreciate any advice if someone has experienced similar.

I had a scan at 6 weeks and a heartbeat could be seen so by 7 weeks they definitely should have picked up a foetal pole and heartbeat. Coupled with the bleeding it doesn’t sound hopeful, I’m sorry OP .

Yeah I was aware of this and just wondering why they couldn’t diagnose it already as I now have to go back for another scan in 2 weeks. Preparing for the worst
