What nice / trivial / 1st world issues are annoying you at present?

I’ll start. An owl is hooting, and keeping me awake. We just moved to the edge of town a few weeks ago - we literally look out over fields & woods - and I’ve never heard an owl at night before. It’s nice, but a bit distracting.

Both my cats are cuddling up next to me in bed and there's no room at all for me to sleep now!

I'm working at home in my dressing gown (which I don't normally do). My manager is going to call soon with an update on how we're going to work for the foreseeable. We have to video call so I need to get dressed and I'm comfy and don't want to put clothes on!

I don't want to go out and check the lambing sheep for the fifty millionth time but I have to. The pet lambs will be yelling for milk and it tugs on my heart strings every time. Their dear wee faces...

There aren't as many interesting threads on Mumsnet to browse now because they're all about one subject.

And decaf coffee just isn't as good (pregnant).

All my tights keep getting holes on the second toes. My toenails are neat and short, my second toes haven't suddenly gone long and pointy, IDK why this is suddenly happening.

@AgentProvocateur and @Thelnebriati I am pretty certain that is is not asafoetida. I use asafoetida a lot in cooking because of intolerances I have. I do however agree that it's not actual truffles though. it's like it's some 'truffle flavoured oil'

I can't get my eyebrows waxed. This is such a 1st world problem!

I keep forgetting to buy new curtains. We need new curtains (just moved house) & there are so many other things to do that it keeps slipping my mind! And now the afternoon sun is coming in & trying to blind me... damn you, sunshine. Sorry, Dowser, it's here, annoying me.

So have mine, and the nail has sort of curved. Only the 2nd toe, very odd. As I can't reach them any more, not much I can do about it.

I don’t feel like doing the dishes. I need to do them though in order to have space in the sink to refill the water jug that goes in the fridge. Phooey.
