Reading Challenge

I recently (10 minutes ago) finished my New Years resolution to read 12 books in 12 weeks. I want to keep the momentum going so thought about reading a book from all different genres. Could anyone suggest genres and possibly books for each?

Non-fiction
Horror
A classic
A romance
A modern classic
A film adaptation

A book set in the past?
A book about friendship?
A book translated from another language? A book in a foreign language?
A graphic novel?
A children's book?
A book about a place?
There are several readathons around which have excellent prompts. Believathon is lovely - designed for key stage 2 fiction (where there is some really quality writing) but the prompts would work for adult books too.
