Sorry, I know it's been done to death but I'm fed up of all the doom & gloom and it has been a while....

We're well overdue a CF stories thread!

Anyone want to start us off whilst I narrow all mine down(!)

I’ve been to New York a few times because I just love the city and have managed to get some good deals. The last time I was going a woman at work told me (yes, told me!) that she would be writing a list of things for me to pick up because you can only get them in the States.

I told her I don’t have a big suitcase so wouldn’t really be able to carry much, so I wasn’t sure.

She asked if I could just pay to take a second suitcase! I looked Confused and said I wouldn’t be doing that. She then said it wasn’t fair because I’d been loads of times and she’d never asked for anything, so I should be able to just get her stuff and nothing for myself Grin

The same woman once asked me to drive a 100 mile round trip to pick something up from her parents’ house. Note: she wasn’t asking me to drive her, she was asking me to go by myself!

Amused Oh my god! I think that's one of the worst I've read on here!

Please share your response....!

I collected a dc from nursery and another mum started chatting to me, I didn't know her but recognised her from the odd drop off/pick up. She asked if my car was our only family car or if my dh also had a car, I said he did. She then asked if she could borrow my car for 10 days to go to Scotland (I'm in the midlands). I told her I need my car as dh works long hours, she told me to drop him off and pick him up from work if I need a car. She was really annoyed that I didn't and didn't even acknowledge me for the rest of dc's nursery year.

@EthelMayFergus did you laugh in her face?

Likethebattle · 15/03/2020 20:22

@EthelMayFergus why does someone even think that would be ok???

amusedbush · 15/03/2020 20:33

@HavenDilemma

I’m afraid it wasn’t an exciting conversation, I just told her categorically that I wouldn’t be driving to her parents’ house Grin I also didn’t get her anything from New York!

@EthelMayFergus

That’s outrageous! Unbelievably CF behaviour Shock
