Please recommend me a coffee machine

I know this thread has been done recently but I can't find it in search.

My Nespresso machine has given up the ghost this morning and I'm in seriously considering investing in a nice bean to cup machine. Can anyone please recommend a model to me. Ideally I would like one with a frother.

I’ve got a DeLonghi Cafe Venezia, it’s as basic as I could find, but has a frother, it’s manual, no phone app, no choice of 150 settings! Just volume and strength.

I love it, we’ve had it just over a year, beans are much cheaper than Nespresso pods, and much more eco. It demands descaling every 12-14 weeks, but we’re in a hard water area.

A1coffee.co.uk do really good Fairtrade organic beans, they also do large bottles of the Vedrenne sirops, the Amaretto is gorgeous.

My BIL has just bought the same model.

We use a De'Longhi Magnifica‎. As above its pretty straight forward to use :)

Like all this stuff you will have to clean it. My Gaggia Classic needs a regular clean using a cleaner for coffee machines and occasionally the group head seal removing (bit where the filter basket goes). It's ok having a nice machine but your coffee is only as good as the machine is clean. I'd get another Nespresso with the frother but I get the waste issue.

de Longhi Authenitica here. Bean to cup with a frother. We got it half price in a Black Friday sale, having signed up to deLonghis coffee club.

Gets used daily.

would never have a pod machine. I like polar bears.
