Why is everyone buying all the milk? Can you freeze it?

None in our local coop left by 11am this morning Shock

Yes you can. I Asked DH as he's in catering and I googled it for extra clarification Grin

Milk freezes perfectly. Just make sure you pour a little bit out of the plastic bottle to allow for expansion.

zen1 · 15/03/2020 08:12

If you did freeze it, how long would it be good for?

CherryPavlova · 15/03/2020 08:19

Yes freeze it.

Onceuponatimethen · 15/03/2020 09:29

I keep mine for six months

slipperywhensparticus · 15/03/2020 09:32

Make sure you shake it after you take it out the freezer

Or try your milkman

BarbaraofSeville · 15/03/2020 09:32

Be aware that it looks a bit weird when frozen but defrosts fine.

It's probably OK for months, but unless you have a massive freezer, you probably don't want to fill it up with milk, so I wouldn't go overboard.

Cows won't stop producing milk, and farmers will have to continue to milk them, so unless the dairy supply chain totally collapses then we aren't going to run out.
