As a customer are you avoiding these children’s play things right now?

We have been trying to open a children’s play centre for a few months now. We have had delays due to the equipment being stuck in China. It is now on the way but we are now thinking that we will encounter more problems due to people avoiding indoor gatherings in the near future.
As a parent, will you be avoiding indoor activities during the Easter holidays assuming Covid-19 is still a threat?

I’d be waiting till autumn if it were me.

MissPepper8 · 12/03/2020 22:08

Yep won't be going to any sort of soft play and I'm due next week. I mean by all means you could advertise that you deep clean the equipment but I don't know how effective that's going to be.

DS goes to nursery for a day a week and I'm cautious about him going there as he's constantly unwell with colds (they've had TB outbreak and hand, foot and mouth all before Christmas).

FireandFury · 12/03/2020 22:15

Definitely. We won’t be going to soft play for a long while now.

Blackbear19 · 12/03/2020 23:11

OP I'd wait until Autumn.
I know that is hard when you've bought the equipment and presumably need to pay for storage.
But I believe the UK will hit a point of closing schools and all entertainment places (restaurants, bars, gyms, softplays) when they decide to isolate people it will be a short but very sharp period.

Sorry OP but I'm not going to be taking DCs to trampoline parks right now, and we love a trampoline park!

YesThatsATurdOnTheRug · 12/03/2020 23:16

@eyesbiggerthanstomach where are you that the weather is so bad? We're out in whatever it is as mine would drive me mad else!

we haven't been avoiding softplay etc up til now but will be for the foreseeable, outside playgrounds only.

Wrigleys123 · 12/03/2020 23:21

My DD is meant to be having her birthday party at softplay next week, not sure if it will go ahead now!

Violet25 · 12/03/2020 23:22

Yes am actively avoiding. Sorry!
