I'm looking to buy a digital radio as a present for my mum but have no idea where to start looking. Does anyone have a digital radio that they're really happy with. No more than £100.
Thank you.

I have a Pure which is fairly good, as do my parents.

Thank you. I'll take a look at them.

Www.ligo.co.uk has a review of various makes. Remember when it was only going to be digital? Anyway some have Bluetooth and fm as well.

One of mine is just a radio. The other has CD player and bluetooth/aux socket as well.

I've got a Roberts radio which is brilliant. Great sound for the size of the unit. I really happily listen to all genres of music on it as well as spoken word. It also has internet radio on it as well as DAB.

I don't think they sell that particular model anymore but I think its a good reliable brand.

Amazon echo dot. I just use it as a voice activated radio! The Pure DAB radio it replaced had a nice simple design that my parents used to use without needing their glasses (once set up).

We’ve got a cheapo Bush Wooden DAB one £25 from Argos, well happy with it

I won a Pure Bug about 8 years ago it's a belting little guy . I use it everyday without fail . It also has a duel alarm ( so you can set 2 diffent alarms ) its loud enough to shake the dust of the lamp shade ! But the volume is adjustable.

Thanks everyone. She wants something simple - she just needs to listen to Absolute in her kitchen!

I am not sure if the Bug is still available but it's easy to use .
Only thing I don't like is the central power button is a bit odd as it's the power , vol and station button ( rocker switch type thing ) takes a bit of getting use to .
