Does anyone else think it seems strange there has been no coverage of this at all? Usually the Daily Mail are chomping at the bit to show grieving celebs and splash it all over the news...
Do you think there has been a legal lock-down about it and is this even possible? I'm not disappointed just think it has been very hush-hush considering the amount of out-pouring regarding her death in the news over the last couple of weeks, it has barely been mentioned today!

The family have requested it to be private. Considering the circumstances its understandable that the media have kept quiet.

Violetroselily · 10/03/2020 21:07

I also thought this. I'm glad the ghouls at the DM aren't all over it.

Hopefully her family and friends have been able to have a celebration of her life

I agree totally that it would be requested to be private. I just couldn't see the gutter press that is the Daily Mail agreeing to not show up, photograph everything they possibly could and use it for ratings... they are not usually knows as a newspaper that 'considers the circumstances' they'll do anything to get a good picture no matter who it hurts!

Given that there’s been no coverage of it (and rightly so), I’m guessing pretty stern ‘cease and desist’ type warning letters were sent from her / her family’s lawyers to the various newspapers. And, as others have said, it would be a fucking poor show of any of the papers had attempted to capture the grief of her family and friends.

sarie2468 · 10/03/2020 21:27

It would be a very poor show, but that never seems to stop the Daily Mail.. they have shown no shame in showing many other peoples grief at funerals.. hopefully the family managed to get some legal warnings that actually worked. No celebs posting on insta or anything either.. very surprising but good for the family and friends that actually want this awful time to have some much needed privacy

I'd been wondering about her funeral as well. Didn't know it was today.

Rainbows8117 · 10/03/2020 21:35

I noticed this. Shane from Westlife recently lost his mum and asked for privacy yet there were still pics of him carrying her coffin, and he and his mum are not as high profile as Caroline. I expect something has happened behind the scenes, probably legal. It would be nice to think they have for once respected the request for privacy but I'm not convinced.

Patch23042 · 10/03/2020 22:17

Disgusting about Shane from Westlife. Such trash, these “journalists” and papps

Littleshortcake · 10/03/2020 22:21

I'm so glad for her memory and for her family that they have had privacy today. RIP Caroline. If only we had continued respect and dignity for people in the media in future .

Rainbows8117 · 10/03/2020 22:41

I just don't know how they can have the nerve to stand outside a church or crematorium and point their cameras at a group of people grieving for their loved one they have just lost. Even more so when they have specifically asked for privacy.

MelAndShoe · 10/03/2020 23:38

I think if there wasn't such a lot of other current affair news just now it would have had more coverage.

TeaAndDarkToast · 11/03/2020 03:47

Can't believe she has gone. RIP Caroline Flowers

Growingboys · 11/03/2020 05:11

I've seen lots of B list celebs posting about or on insta eg Chris O'Dowd, Gizzi Erskine.

Peridot1 · 11/03/2020 05:20

I’ve seen a few posts on twitter etc but am glad it wasn’t splashed everywhere. Her family and friends definitely didn’t need that.
