Which retainer cleaning product

Hi
My son has clear plastic retainers and the orthodontist advised us that they need to be cleaned with a cleaning product.

I bought some 'Retainer Brite' from the orthodontist thinking we could buy more of it from Boots or Tesco but I cant find it anywhere. We live a long way from he orthodontist so I cant keep going back there.

What do other people use? Is Steradent the same thing (but a lot cheaper?)

My dentist recommended steradent tablets.

I use dr Bronners liquid soap in peppermint, either dilute some in a glass of water and leave the retainers soaking in it or use a tiny amount neat in each one and scrub with a tiny toothbrush then rinse.

Have been doing it this way now for over a year and the retainers have been fine.

Mine go in a beaker of steradent and every so often some sterilising liquid.

I use Co Op denture sterilising tablets, cheap as chips and does the job!
