Teachers - term time holiday advice please

Hi, my child will start school in September and will be 4, we were hoping to go away in November as this is the only time work will allow.
Will we get a fine even though they don't legally have to be in school until they are 5? This is in the UK.
A couple of teacher friends say we won't but i'd like to ask a wider audience

The school and teacher will probably frown upon it, but you won’t be fined as DC isn’t compulsory school age.
