Who else is off sick?

I'm off work sick at the moment. Started feeling a bit run down over the weekend, lacking energy. Got a really sore throat on Monday to the point I could barely speak, fever and today its basically the same although throat isn't as bad. Feel bad being off work though and I'm so bored now, tempted to go back tomorrow.

Anyone else off sick?

@SudokuQueen no not doing yet I don't think but it says something like in the next week. Problem is even if it isn't corona and you go in not fully well any virus is easily spread and then someone else gets it. It sucks but better than infecting everyone else if possible...

Some of you really sound like you have Coronavirus symptoms, almost down to a tee. I don’t understand why they aren’t testing for it? It’s well known that people are catching it and haven’t been abroad!

Agree @LeSquigh the fact they aren't testing people with the symptoms will just spread the virus further as people may assume its flu, mind you flu is easily spread too!

I'm home too and bizarrely like @TwoZeroTwoZero I have also lost my voice. Viral Laryngitis apparently and I cant talk at all! Glands are swollen though and I have a cough and feel more exhausted than I have in years.

Yes @CakeInMyFace I've had it a few days now and as the week's gone on I've felt more and more tired and have developed a cough but I'm not showing or feeling any signs of a bacterial infection. I've just slept most of today and am trying to rest my voice difficult with two dc who keep arguing with each other

@TwoZeroTwoZero I feel your pain. I have two dd, 8 and 4 and they argue like mad sometimes! Sounds exactly like what I have too, its v odd! Hope you start to feel better soon x

This is the first thread I've read where I've thought Actually, some of these people do sound like they have coronavirus. Stay safe everyone, please don't go back to work until you're well again.

Yesterday I did think my symptoms were similar to coronavirus but today I'm going for flu. Struggling to move from the sofa or bed.
My dry cough also seems to be turning a bit more productive

I'm no better today. Definitely just a bad cold though. Really wish my nose would stop running and stop being blocked. Sore throat still hasn't fully gone either. I want to go back to work but pretty sure I'll just infect others and be completely useless.

@SudokuQueen my symptoms started the same as yours and a week later the cough came. Take it easy and rest up

Please don’t infect others by going to work. To a lot of people Coronavirus will be mild and the government still say stay at home because they’re trying to keep some distance from older or immunosuppressed people.

Do you have a runny nose with it? If not it could be Coronavirus. Best not to risk spreading it.

The government is saying to self-isolate if you have a persistent cough or a temperature of 37.8 or higher.

No-one is going to be tested for Covid 19 unless they are in hospital.
