I take a medication which makes me lactate. My boobs are always painful and hard but today they even worse than usual they stretching the skin if I go and express so you think I'll make more milk tomorrow because my body will think I'm using the milk? Or can I express for some relief?

I know it's not quite the same situation, but this might be useful, and links to the information on decongestants and herbs whic can reduce milk supply. kellymom.com/ages/weaning/wean-how/weaning_mom/

@gigglingHyena thanks I'll have a read.

Thought I'd update you couldn't get a doctors appointment but period came early do milk all leaked out so I'll be comfy for a couple of weeks now.

Hand expressing just enough to let some of the pressure up should be fine but definitely dont empty either breast.

Cabbage leafs help, scrape them up a little and stick them.in your bra, sounds odd I know, of i remember correctly it's a savoury cabbage to use but look it up as it's been a while

Savoy Cabbage leaves, well chilled in the fridge.

I remember the relief well.

I think you can get Sudafed that is decongestant only with no added painkillers if that's the problem.
