I normally do a class on Monday evenings. I am booked onto it today but I can't decide to go or not. The price is included in my gym membership and I can cancel up to one hour before. Persuade me either way!

--I did a very long (longer than marathon) walk yesterday
--I have pretty stiff/sore glutes and lower back so I look like I'm hobbling a bit but I'm not injured
--I won't get home til about 8:30 if I do the class
--I have to leave for a work trip just before 6:00 tomorrow morning
--I'm pretty knackered but also have a lingering guilt that I should just get on with it and do the class!

Well that has clearly been a massive strike through fail....ignore the fact that any of that is crossed out and just read it as a list!

Go to the class, you will be glad you did afterwards

Do not do the class. You deserve to lie on a sofa having your glutes massaged before a nice early night.

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 09/03/2020 15:19

Like Nike says: just do it

There are always 200 reasons to NOT go Smile

Knitwit99 · 09/03/2020 15:19

I usually always feel better once I've exercised, but every now and again you just need a break. You sound like maybe tonight you need a break. Buy some nice healthy food and have a night in. Sounds like you've got a lot going on.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 09/03/2020 15:19

You clearly don't want to go. Have a night off, do some stretches for the sore legs and back.

SapphosRock · 09/03/2020 15:20

I wouldn't if I'd walked a marathon yesterday!

Have a nice hot bath, some tasty dinner and an early night ready for your work trip tomorrow.

Blobby10 · 09/03/2020 15:36

Daily 5am gym goer here and I wouldn't do the class Grin. You did more than enough over the weekend (unless of course, that was just your normal activity level?). Coupled with your early start tomorrow it will probably do more harm than good doing the class.

Kimbaland · 09/03/2020 15:38

Go, you'll sleep amazing for it!

StrawberryPi · 09/03/2020 15:42

Ahaha you lot seem as undecided as me!

Is it a relaxing, yoga / stretching type class or hardcore cardio? That makes a difference.

I still wouldn't go regardless!

SillyLittleBiscuit · 09/03/2020 15:57

I’ve got a class a 7 that I don’t want to do. I’ll go if you do.

StrawberryPi · 09/03/2020 15:57

It's a body pump style class with weights to music. Fairly hardcore?

I'm erring I'm leaving work a bit early (I have TIL to take), popping home to get dinner sorted and get prepped for tomorrow, and then going to the class...

It sounds like you don't want to go but will feel guilty if you don't, and want our permission to say it's OK - it's OK! Enjoy your sofa time.
