Hi all I wondered if I could have any advice with regards to CV? Not very good with writing so wondered whether it was worth paying purple cv to help? Anyone have any experience or advice please?

No experience of purple but I wouldn't be paying. CV is mainly facts and a brief generic paragraph about you.

After that u need to tweak a covering letter or the above mentioned paragraph to make it relevant to the role/s u are applying for.

Loads of examples on line- reed, indeed, totaljobs etc or have a look at what colour is your parachute website and book.
Several threads on here too if you search. Good luck!

I'm a CV writer. I'd generally advise against using one of the larger CV writing companies. They are often associated with low standards of work, a large "churn" of sometimes inexperienced (and generally badly paid!) writers and limited support for revisions etc. I haven't worked with Purple personally but I have not found a large CV writing company that I'd be happy to recommend.

Broadly I think there is a place for professional CV writing (well, I would, wouldn't I?) but you'd do well to get a personal recommendation.

Take a look at Monster or Reed for advice on the content, also Microsoft has some good templates you can use.
