Citalopram - increase not helped?

Been on 10mgs for 8 years. One of my kids is iill and I've had a really tough time recently.

Migraine specialist told me that SSRIs could help with my persistent migraines and that 10mgs is probably not enough.

With both of the above in mind, upped to 20mgs 6 weeks ago.

Migraines slightly better (but I've stopped drinking alcohol and cut right down on processed foods too)

But I don't feel any happier, less stressed, more relaxed or calm.

Why has this not affected me?

Because you need to change IME.

For me citalopram just stopped working. I upped it, made no difference.

Changed to sertraline and then it worked again.

Shame through, for me citalopram was excellent. And I had adverse effects to sertraline.

I'm off both more bit if I go again then I will go on escitalopram.

Citalopram was actually the cause of my daily headaches when I accidentally stopped taking it for a week I noticed my headaches gone but then I felt anxiety again so now taking sertraline
