Red/blue hands and feet

My son is 1 on Thursday and has always had red hands and feet when cold. I was told this is just poor circulation and would stop once his circulation develops.

Now he is older it only seems to be worse. It doesn't need tk be cold his hands are always red with a blue tint. I took him swimming last week and someone commented on the colour. Is this something I should be worried about?

Pictures were just taken this morning once he woke up in the warm house.

When he's active, running around etc, it will probably sort itself out. At the moment his big muscles don't get much chance to drive the blood down to the extremities.

Is he generally well?

Generally he is OK. Nothing major other tha he catches everything! He was hospitalised for a week when he was 3 weeks od for a staph infection, has had hand foot and mouth twice, scarlet fever and suffered with reflux since he was born. He is still sick about 10 times a day! He is a big lad though and has recently started walking so in track developmentally.

I would say he's been seen enough for any underlying problems to have been picked up, as he's been a bit unfortunate in the catching everything on offer stakes!

I'd see how he goes when he's running around like a hooligan! They change completely, in terms of proportions and posture.
